The Venue

We will be using a building named the Snow Centre, which is a relatively new, architecturally awarded building. The building has three floors and we will be using the lower two floors. Sponsors will be housed in an open area and glass doors rooms on the first floor. Keynote presentations will be held in the theatre next door. The anticipated layout of the rooms with sponsor tables is shown in the diagram below. Both the first and second floor have ground-level access from outside. There is also a lift that can be used between floors. Food will be served among sponsor tables in those spaces.

If you would like to view the venue before the conference, we are happy to show it to you. Please make a booking by email.

Presentations

Presentations are no longer being accepted. Congratulations if you were accepted.
Sponsors are welcome in the audience during presentations.
See the program  for presentation and break times.

Prize Draw

At the end of the day, there is a prize draw and we hope you will be able to contribute to the prizes. We suggest prizes that are not specifically merchandise for your company. Prizes in the past have included movie tickets, electrical gadgets or other general gifts. There is a recommended value limit for prizes:

  • Gold sponsor and Silver prize: up to $150
  • Bronze sponsors prize: up to $75

During the conference dinner there will be a random draw from the list of names of all registered participants who are not sponsors. Sponsors will be asked to present their prize to the relevant winner.

You don’t have to do anything except to show up with your prize.

COVID Considerations

We realise that Covid19 is a current and ongoing concern. There is no current lockdown in Canberra, so we’re confidently moving ahead. Of course this could change and affect the running of the conference.

  • If the conference needs to be cancelled, we will try to make decisions at least one week out (before we have to commit to catering costs). If this were to happen, we will refund registration and sponsorship money. Should disaster fall after that cut-off, we will need to deal with some costs, but we will attempt to avoid that.
  • If you are outside the ACT and borders close, you may be unable to come to Canberra. Although not a great substitute for in-person networking, we offer substitutes on your sponsor table…
    • Send a local partner in your place. We’re happy to transfer your registration.
    • Distribution of merchandise and promotional materials sent by post.
    • A remote video-conference PC with monitor and webcam on the table.
    • A video message of your choosing included in the rolling slideshow in the main conference building (Bronze 30sec, Silver 1min, Gold 2.5min).
    • You will, of course, still benefit from promotion prior to the conference on our website and during the conference through various signage and mentions.
